Ruo Li was born in China in 1954. At the age of 17, he began his studies
in packaging design and decorations for three years at the Arts and
Crafts School of Hunan Province. In 1981, Ruo Li received his Bachelors of Fine Art
degree in oil painting from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art. After graduation,
Mr. Li taught at the Fine Art Department of Henan University for eight
years, and became the vice Director of the departments Teaching and
Researching Office. While in China, Ruo Li attended many national and
provincial art exhibitions and won several awards and honors.

1989, Ruo Li came to the United States to attend his first art show in America.
Since then he has been living in the sunny California where he is close
to the sea, which is his favorite subject to paint. His paintings have been ;exhibited at many galleries; several magazines, newspapers, such as US Art Magazine, International Artist Magazine, InformArt Magazine, AC Magazine, Star News and Chinese Daily News. In 1994, US Art Magazine selected him as one of the Top Ten Artist to Watch.
